ztabor@neisd.net<p style=”text-align: left”>Tabor enters his first season as the head coach for the Lady Rattlers Basketball Program. Zac Tabor, a native of Quanah, Texas, began his coaching and teaching career at Prairie Valley High School where he led them to two consecutive winning seasons and made a 15 win improvement his first year at the helm. He then went to serve as an assistant basketball and track coach for Chance Westmoreland, a decorated eight time state champion, at Argyle High School.

<p style=”text-align: left”>Tabor comes to Reagan after a three year stint as the lead assistant at Argyle. The Lady Eagles won the state championship in Tabor’s first year as top assistant and then followed that 2018-2019 season with a regional championship and a state runner up finish. Tabor assisted and oversaw multiple aspects of the program and was a key part of the rich success that the Lady Eagles experienced during his time in Argyle.

<p style=”text-align: left”>Tabor was a graduate of Graford High School where he led them to their first ever state runner up finish in 2012. He currently owns the record for most points in a state tournament game and the record for most free throws made in a state tournament game. He went on to play basketball at North Lake College and Cameron University before graduating with a degree in Political Science from Midwestern State University.

<p style=”text-align: left”>Coach Tabor has a passion for teaching and coaching and comes from a family of educators. He is married to his wife, Niya, who is about to begin dental school at UT Health San Antonio. He is excited about the future and is grateful to be a member of Rattler Nation.
