I often have parents ask what they can do at home to further support RRT&F. Please encourage your daughters to do the following to ensure they can perform their best:
a. STRETCH, Foam, Lacrosse Roll – This is critical to maintaining full ROM and ensuring that anabolic hormones can enter muscles to rebuild what we are breaking down in practice.
b. Hydrate and Focus on Proper Nutrition.
i. Water Intake : 1/2 body weight in ounces
ii. Pack pre- and post- workout snacks
c. SLEEP – the hours before midnight are critical.
d. Positive Talk – what each girl invests is taxing mentally and physically. Keeping a positive outlook will help them approach the season in a balanced way!
