Coach Anguiano was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, and is a graduate of J.W. Nixon High School.  After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

He began his coaching career in 2000 with United ISD in Laredo at Garcia Middle School.

In 2003, Coach Anguiano was hired as the varsity assistant boy’s basketball coach at Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) high school in Laredo. There he took part in opening a new school and starting the basketball program with then head coach Frank Gonzalez. In their third year at LBJ, the Wolves made the playoffs for the first time in the school’s short history and won the District Championship as well.  While at LBJ high school, he also coached football for the late Head Coach/Campus Coordinator Mike Medina and also coached softball with then Head Coach Javier Morin.

In 2007, Coach Anguiano and his wife relocated to San Antonio and he was hired at Stevens High School in Northside ISD.  While at Stevens, he was fortunate enough to work with Coach John Hirst and his basketball staff.  In three seasons at Stevens, the Falcons qualified for the playoffs every season, won back to back District Championships (in 2008 and 2009), won two Bi-District Championships, and one Area Championship.

In 2010, Coach Anguiano was hired as the varsity assistant basketball coach at Reagan High School.  Since 2010 the Rattlers have won 4 District Championships, 6 Bi-District Championships, and 2 Area Championships.

He is married to his wife, Mirna, and has two daughters, Elise and Alexia.
