Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026 – The Rattlers were triumphant over Bridgeland 4-1 on Thursday at Bridgeland High School.
The Rattlers got on the board in the first inning after one run scored on another play.
They added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning on three hits. Tony Gilbreath hit a solo home run to left field, and Caine Chapman doubled, scoring one run.
Gilbreath earned the win for the Rattlers. The pitcher gave up two hits and one run over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking five. Zach Hopkins collected the save. Joaquin Cardenas pitched one and one-third innings of zero-run ball in relief. The pitcher gave up one hit, striking out none and walking none.
Chapman, Gilbreath, Ricky Armstrong, and Ollie Wetherell each collected one hit for the Rattlers. Chapman, Gilbreath, and Wetherell each drove in one run. Chapman stole two bases. The Rattler defense turned one double play in the game. They were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Will Van Wiesse had the most chances in the field with nine.
