Rattlers Claim Win In Thrilling Showdown Against Klein

Friday, February 20, 2026 – The Rattlers snatched the lead late in their 6-4 victory over Klein on Friday. The game was tied at four in the top of the seventh when Bodie Weyman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs.

The Rattlers got on the board in the top of the second inning after Brody Beck doubled to left field, Ricky Armstrong was struck by a pitch, and Caine Chapman lined into a double play, each scoring one run.

They added one run in the third. Will Van Wiesse grounded into a double play, making the score 4-0.

Evrick Paulino earned the win for the Rattlers. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Sebastian Sipe stepped on the mound first where the righty gave up six hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking two. Joaquin Cardenas appeared in relief for the Rattlers.

Chapman, Beck, Armstrong, and Weyman each drove in one run for the Rattlers. Dylan Sabariego went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits. Karsten Holman collected two hits in four at bats. The Rattlers had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Van Wiesse and Weyman led the team with two bases on balls each. The Rattler defense turned one double play in the game and didn’t commit a single error in the field. Chapman had the most chances in the field with six.
