Today, Reagan senior Grant Lilly signed his financial aid agreement to swim in college for the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, a prestigious NCAA Division I program in the Atlantic Coast Conference with his parents and sisters at his side.
Head Reagan Aquatics Coach Michael Rourke said, “Grant Lilly has been the kind of athlete every coach hopes to have. He is a 6A state champion in the 500 free, a multi-time All-American, an Eagle Scout, and a member of the National Honor Society — but what stands out most is the person he is. Grant’s leadership and character helped build the foundation of Reagan Aquatics, and he’s continued to bring people together through his example.”
Grant is a 4-year Varsity Letterman serving his second year as team captain on the award-winning RRHS Aquatics Team. His notable swimming accomplishments include:
- 2025 Finalist at Junior National Championships
- 2025 UIL 6A State Champion: 500 Freestyle
- Region VII-6A Record Holder: 200 Freestyle
- Josh Davis Pool Record Holder: 200 Freestyle
- 8x State Finalist
- 2023 and 2024 Finalist at Winter Junior Championships
- 2023-2024 Reagan High School Aquatics Most Outstanding Athlete
- 2024-2025 Reagan High School Aquatics Most Valuable Athlete
- 2023-2024 NISCA All American x 3 events
- 2024-2025 NISCA All American x 4 events
- Reagan Aquatics Team Record Holder x 7 events
Equally impressive academically and as a representative in his community, Grant is a National Merit Scholar and has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All American recognition twice. He is the First Vice President of National Honor Society, and he achieved Eagle Scout in 2022 after leading a meaningful community project in support of the local natatorium.
“His commitment to swim at Notre Dame is a reflection of years of hard work and dedication, and I could not be prouder of the young man he has become. We will miss him, but Reagan Aquatics is a better program because of Grant,” Coach Rourke concluded.
