Frontpage News… Softball Lady Rattlers Are Back!

February 11, 2026

Your 2026 Varsity Reagan Softball team opened up Monday’s non-district in a 10-0 route (5 inning run rule), over perennial District 29 contender Judson Rockets, to start their season.  Returning a 2025 Second round playoff roster which includes 7 Letterman and many All-District players, the Lady Rattlers, under direction of new head coach Torey Nicholson, are set to make a run at a District 27 title.

Reagan was the first to get on the board in the second when “Super Senior” Mila Mancias launched a moon shot to left field, scoring two runs. Four Year Letterman, Sadie Eckles (Sr.) led the scoring attack by driving in five runs on a double and triple.

Lady Rattlers’ largest scoring drive was six runs in the fourth inning including hits by Courtney Latronico (Fr.) Mina Galvan (Jr.) and Presley Noriega (Sr.).

First Team All-District Pitcher Ally Reyes (Jr.) picked up from her 2025 season pace, earning the win for the Lady Rattlers. Reyes surrendered just one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out six while walking three. Carolina Santoyo (Fr.) threw two innings of no-run ball for the Rattlers in relief. Santoyo gave up two hits, striking out one with one walk to complete the shut out.

Next up for Reagan Lady Rattlers is a game vs the Marshall Rams on Thursday February 12, over at Northside ISD Sotomayor High School at 5pm.  They will look to dominate at the annual Northside ISD tournament that takes place from Feb 12 – Feb 14.

Strike ’em, Rattlers!
