Today, Rattler Senior Cole Higby signed his letter of intent to play D-1 college football. Cole will be playing Linebacker for Army at The United States Military Academy at West Point—an NCAA Division 1 school in West Point, New York playing in the American Conference.
Cole is a 3-year starting Varsity Letterman. He earned the District Defensive Newcomer of the year his Sophomore year as a Linebacker. Cole’s Junior year, he was unanimously chosen by coaches across the district for 1st Team All-District. In his Senior year, Cole played defense as a middle Linebacker and offense as a Tight End and Fullback. As a team captain he was known for his energy and leadership on and off the field. This year as a Senior, Cole earned this distinguished recognition of both Reagan Varsity MVP and District Defensive MVP. Cole was selected to play in the 2026 San Antonio All-Star Football Game and enjoyed playing with the best players in the city.
“We are so excited for Cole and his family,” said Coach Preston Meyer, Reagan Head Football Coach. “Cole had a great career at Reagan and is Army is lucky to be getting not only a great player but a great young man.”
Directly after graduation, Cole will serve a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints while Army West Point holds his scholarship. Upon return from his mission, Cole will begin his collegiate football career at Army West Point.
