Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 – The Reagan Rattlers defeated Lee 12-2 on Tuesday at Blossom Athletic Complex thanks in part to 10 runs in the third inning. Tony Gilbreath singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Ricky Armstrong was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Caleb Crider drew a walk, scoring one run, Isaiah Robledo drew a walk, scoring one run, Karsten Holman doubled, scoring two runs, and Bodie Weyman singled, scoring two runs.
Lee were the first to get on the board in the first when a wild pitch scored one run.
Armstrong grounded into a fielder’s choice, which helped the Rattlers tie the game at one in the top of the second.
Lee took the lead in the bottom of the second, scoring one run, to give Lee the advantage, 2-1.
Zach Hopkins earned the win for the Rattlers. The pitcher surrendered two hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking none. Darden Wetherell pitched three innings in relief for Hopkins. The hurler surrendered zero hits and zero runs while, striking out three and walking none. Crider led things off on the hill for the Rattlers. The starter gave up zero hits and two runs over one inning, striking out two and walking four.
Weyman led with two hits in three at bats. Gilbreath, Holman, Armstrong, and Weyman each drove in two runs. Kaleb Rogers paced the Rattlers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up nine walks for the game. Robledo and Armstrong each stole multiple bases. The Rattlers stole five bases and turned one double play in the game. The Rattlers didn’t commit a single error in the field. Roberto Gadola had the most chances in the field with 10.
