After receiving numerous offers to play NCAA D1 football, Bailey Fletcher signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and football career at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The Rice Owls are part of the American Athletic Conference in Division 1 athletics.
Fletcher, a Cornerback/Defensive Back, is a 4-year Varsity Letterman, with 3 years playing at Reagan High School and 1 year at TMI Episcopal. During the off-season, Fletcher played 7 v 7 football with JUICE (Austin), DEFCON-TX (San Antonio) and Reagan. Fletcher also ran track (Reagan and TMI) and played soccer (TMI).
During his time with Reagan football, Bailey served as Team Captain, has been recognized as a Top Defensive Back in San Antonio and a KCWX Student of the Week, and has volunteered to coach middle school 7v7 teams. His football accomplishments include:
- Skills Defensive Player of the Year (12th grade)
- Academic All-State Honorable Mention (12th grade)
- Academic All-District (10th and 11th grade)
- All-District First Team Defensive Back (11th and 12th grade)
- All-District Honorable Mention Defensive Back (10th grade)
- Bi-District Champions (12th grade)
- District Champions (11th and 12th grade)
- Senior Year Stats: 4 interceptions, 16 pass break ups, 63 tackles, 4 forced fumbles
- Junior Year Stats: 1 interception, 15 pass break ups, 53 tackles, 2 forced fumbles
- Sophomore Year Stats: 2 interceptions, 13 pass break ups, 45 tackles
