A memorable celebration to close an incredible season.

May 23, 2026

The Ronald Reagan High School varsity tennis season officially came to a close with an incredible banquet celebrating the team’s success throughout the year.

Players, coaches, and parents gathered together to reflect on the many accomplishments achieved this season — not only in tennis, but also in leadership, academics, and personal growth.

The evening also honored our graduating seniors with a special Hawaiian tradition,  where each senior was crowned with a lei to celebrate their journey and achievements. The tradition was especially meaningful as Emily chose to extend it beyond her own son, Evan, wanting every senior to feel equally celebrated and honored on such important milestone in their lives. In Hawaiian culture, the graduation lei tradition symbolizes love, honor, appreciation, and accomplishment, making it a meaningful way to recognize this important milestone in our seniors’ lives.

We are incredibly proud of all of our seniors, with special recognition going to Angela Huang, who is graduating with a GPA above 100. After receiving offers from multiple Ivy League universities, she chose to continue her academic journey at Stanford University.

A special thank you also goes to our tennis team mom, Mayu Quevedo, for everything she has done since taking on this role two years ago. Your endless support, dedication, and help behind the scenes have meant so much to this program, and we truly could not have done it without you. Thank you for everything!

While we will greatly miss our senior players, we close this season proud of everything this team accomplished and excited to aim for even greater achievements next year.

Congratulations and happy graduation to all of our seniors!

Strike Em,
