The Reagan boys and girls water polo teams delivered a dominant performance at the Southwest ISD Tournament, with both teams going 4-0 over two days of competition in their second tournament of the season. The perfect weekend highlighted significant progress in execution, confidence, communication, and team chemistry.
Under Head Coach Jared Kaminski, the Rattlers continue to emphasize defense, team play, and hard work, and those priorities were evident throughout the tournament. Both teams played with greater discipline, trusted one another, and showed noticeable improvement from the season opener.
The Reagan boys powered their way through the tournament, earning victories over Southwest Legacy (22-9), Smithson Valley (27-14), Southwest (13-4), and Stevens (16-8).Kai Tse Hashemiyoon leads the team with 34 goals, 18 assists, and 9 steals, while Alexander Hibberd has added 31 goals. Ben Theesfeld has contributed 15 assists and 6 steals, while Teddy Caskey leads the team with 60 saves in the cage.
The Reagan girls also turned in a strong tournament, earning wins over Southwest Legacy (17-7), Smithson Valley (8-1), Southwest (11-5), and Stevens (18-2).Allie Callister leads the team with 22 goals, while Victoria Trevino De La Pena has recorded 10 assists. Audrey Cain has contributed 3 steals, and Aria Flores leads the team with 23 saves in the cage.
With two tournaments complete, both Reagan teams are gaining confidence, strengthening their chemistry, and continuing to raise the level of their play as the season progresses.
