Welcome Coach Johnson to Rattler country!

August 4, 2019

Reagan Athletics is excited for Coach Courtney Johnson to lead Rattler Cross Country!  She’s ready for her team to roll out tomorrow morning with their first day of practice.

Coach Johnson came to Reagan from Bradley Middle School in NEISD, where for the past two years she has led track athletes to multiple Meet of Champs victories. Prior to Bradley, she taught physical education, and coached basketball and track at Clear Lake Intermediate in Houston, Texas.

Johnson is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio with a B.S. in Kinesiology.  While at UTSA, she ran Cross Country and Track (and even had the opportunity to run with her older brother, who also attended UTSA). In 2010, she graduated from Goose Creek Memorial High School in Baytown, Texas, where she ran track and cross country all four years of high school.

She was inspired to pursue teaching and coaching because of her parents, who were also teachers and coaches. Her desire is to help others and make a positive impact on her athlete’s lives.  She commented, “It is my hope that I give each athlete that I coach the optimism and desire to achieve their goals.”

Coach Johnson comes from an active, sport loving family, who enjoys spending time outdoors and eating good food.  Growing up in a family that shares a love for sports, she’s sure to bring that same passion to her Reagan Rattler family! Welcome Courtney and good luck this season!

(And, the next time you see Coach Johnson, she will be sporting Reagan green)!
