Reagan Tennis Dominates Districts!

Reagan Varsity Tennis had an incredible showing at the 6A district tournament, taking top spots in almost every event. From singles to doubles to mixed doubles, our players gave it their all and supported one another every step of the way. With medals in hand and regionals up next, it’s clear this team is something special.

A Strong Finish for the Seniors

This district tournament was especially meaningful for seniors Italia Valencia and Diego Alvarez, who played their final district match—and walked away as district champions in mixed doubles. Both have been on varsity all four years, setting a strong example for younger players through their leadership, work ethic, and dedication. Ending districts with a first place win—but they’re not quite done yet. Now let’s keep this going at regionals, VAMOS!

Singles Success and Rising Talent

Pablo Alvarez (sophomore), delivered an outstanding performance, earning first place in singles with skill and confidence. Over on the girls’ side, Iris Wang (freshman), made a strong impression by finishing second in her first-ever varsity season—a huge accomplishment. Rodrigo Montano (freshman) and Hallie Crofts (sophomore) both battled through tough matches to take third place, showing grit, focus, and determination. With such strong showings from these underclassmen, it’s clear the future of Reagan Tennis is bright.

Mixed Doubles Brings the Energy

Along with Italia and Diego’s championship win, Melania Serenko (junior) and Vikas Vijay (sophomore) had a great run in mixed doubles, earning third place after some tough matches. Their effort and teamwork stood out, and they showed that they’re ready to take it even further next season.

Doubles Teams Face Off in the Finals

One of the most exciting moments came during the boys’ doubles finals, where two Reagan teams ended up playing against each other. Evan Wang (junior) and Ryan Totorica (sophomore) went head to head with Jairo Kirk (junior) and Nate Washington (sophomore). The match was close and competitive, with Evan and Ryan winning first place and Jairo and Nate finishing second. It was a thrilling showdown—friendly but fierce—with both teams giving it their all while still cheering each other on with energy, and plenty of team spirit.
