The Reagan Girls Varsity Cross Country team claimed first place at the TAMU Islander Splash, beating 2nd place Brandeis by just 8 points in a competitive race. Out of 132 runners, standout freshman Elly Spurlock led the Rattlers with an impressive 4th-place finish in 19:47, closely followed by senior Theone Glosser just one second behind. Junior Reese Sweatman secured 11th place, with fellow juniors Paige Opaska and Ariana Stark finishing 17th and 28th, respectively—all 5 in the top 25—sealing the team victory.
The Reagan Boys Varsity team earned a solid 7th-place finish, with three Rattlers placing in the top 20. Sophomore Logan Martinez led the pack, finishing 8th with a time of 16:10. Senior Sam Ackerman followed in 18th place at 16:31, and junior Aiden Gendron was close behind in 20th with a 16:34 finish.
