Reagan Hoops chalked up two significant victories within the past week bringing their record to 20-5 for the season.
On January 6, the Rattlers defeated rival Churchill (71-56) in a high-energy home game. Thanks to all the students, family and friends who came out to rally around the team! The atmosphere in the gym was rowdy!
This past Tuesday, the team traveled to Roosevelt to face off against the Rough Riders, who matched the pace until halfway through the second quarter when the Rattlers found their groove. After that, there was no looking back as Reagan dominated on both ends of the court to secure a solid 69-45 win.
In both games, the team exhibited their characteristic unity and unselfish style of play. Leading scorers for the Rattlers were:
vs. Churchill — Luke Price and Aidan Richard, 25 pts each; Luke Mills, 12 pts; Cade Schneider, 6pts
vs. Roosevelt — Aidan Richard, 23 pts; Luke Price, 20 pts; Luke Mills and James Scannel, 8 pts each
The team will finish up the first round of district match ups against Brandeis tomorrow night at Blossom. Tipoff is at 8:00 pm. Come on out to cheer the Rattlers on!
