Theone Glosser Commits to Trinity University for Cross Country / Track & Field

April 15, 2026

Senior Theone Glosser has committed to continue her running and academic career at Trinity University in San Antonio. Theone has been running a long time, following in her dad’s footsteps (literally) as he also grew up a runner. She started competing in 2021, inspired by her dad’s stories and experiences and wanting to carry on his legacy in the sport. Her favorite runner is Faith Kipyegon who continues to break barriers and pave the way for female runners.

Theone’s senior year she took 3rd at Cross Country District, 5th at Region and 76th at the State meet. She currently holds Reagan’s all-time fastest time in the 3200m (11:16.67). One of her favorite Reagan memories was the first meet in 2025 – the weather was rainy, the course was muddy and messy, and the meet had several lightening delays. “Our bus got stuck in the mud and we had to push it out as a team,” she said. “It was such a stereotypical cross country meet, but it was so much fun.”

Theone will run Cross Country and Distance Track for Head Coach Emily Daum who has been with the Tigers since 2013. A former Tiger All-American herself (2009), Coach Daum has coached several NCAA Championship Qualifiers and many All-Americans. “Theone has shown an impressive ability to balance significant commitments outside of academics while still delivering strong performances on the course and track,” Coach Daum said. “I believe she will add valuable depth to our program and serve as an important unifying presence, helping foster a team culture that remains both highly competitive and genuinely supportive over her four years.”

Theone plans to study biochemistry at Trinity. “I chose Trinity because when I met the team I felt like I was talking to a group of “me’s”, and I saw myself running alongside that group,” she said. “I’m very excited to continue running like my dad did and wear the Tiger on my back.”

No doubt great things ahead – keep up with Theone by following Tigers’ running at @trinityxctf #GoTigers
