Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO) recognized three Lady Rattlers with All-State honors, one with All-Region honors, and Coach Nunez with Region IV Assistant Coach Season Award!
Junior Lauren Mueller was named First Team All-State – defender. Lauren was also this year’s District 28-6A Defensive MVP, First Team All-District – defender, and Academic All-District. Lauren is committed to play soccer for Dallas Baptist University.
Senior captain Brooke Castillo was named Second Team All-State – midfielder. Brooke was this year’s assist leader with 9 assists and second leading goal scorer with 8. She was also named First Team All-District – midfielder, THSCA Academic All-State, TASCO Academic All-State, and Academic All-District. She is committed to play soccer for Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
Senior Jenna Salazar was named Honorable Mention All-State – forward. Jenna led the Lady Rattlers in scoring with 20 goals. She was also named First Team All-District – forward, THSCA Academic All-State, TASCO Academic All-State, and Academic All-District. Jenna is committed to play soccer for Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
Sophomore Bella Hartofelis was named First Team All-Region – midfielder. Bella was also named First Team All-District – midfielder and Academic All-District.
TASCO also honored Coach Christina Nunez with a Region IV Assistant Coach Season Award for the second year in a row.
