Swimmer Noah Ott Commits to UIW!

February 8, 2024

Rattler senior Noah Ott signed a national letter of intent to swim for the University of Incarnate Word, a premiere Division I National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) private school here in San Antonio, Texas. During a signing day ceremony at Ronald Reagan High School on Feb. 7, Noah announced the commitment alongside his parents, Philip and Valerie Ott, his sister Isabella Ott and the Reagan Swim and Dive Coach, Michael Rourke (not pictured).

Noah is an elite, four-year varsity swim letterman and two-year team captain whose top swims helped lead the men’s swim team to a 2024 district championship win, the first district win for the men since 2019.

Academically, Noah is a member of the National Honor Society, a Scholastic All American recipient and a THSCA Academic All State recipient who is expected to graduate from Reagan summa cum laude in May with the four-year scholarship to UIW.

“Noah has been such a crucial part of the Reagan men’s team for four years now,” Coach Rourke said. “He has helped build the current culture of Reagan swimming and diving.”

Throughout his impressive high school swim career, Noah has been a leader and guiding force for the team while amassing many personal accolades and spectacular athletic achievements. He is a four-time districts and regions qualifier, a districts and regions medalist, a two-time state qualifier and a two-time winter juniors championship qualifier.

In his junior year, Noah was named Reagan Swim’s Most Outstanding Athlete, received All-State recognition and was a San Antonio Express News Athlete of the Year nominee. As a senior, Noah was First Team All-District for water polo and the men’s 2024 District 28-6A Champion in the 200 free, 100 fly, 200 free relay and 400 free relay. He currently holds school records in the 200 fly, 200 free relay and 800 free relay.

“I am honored to be able to call myself his coach and know that he will go on to do great things, both in and out of the pool,” Coach Rourke concluded.
