After giving up 1 run in the first inning, Aidan Coleman completed 5 innings on the mound, surrendering 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 9, helping the Rattlers to a 5-1 victory vs. Round Rock Westwood.
The bats were hot as well as Ashton Beaird (2 singles), Brennan Greer (2 singles) and Andrew Ermis (1 single, 1 double and 1 RBI) all had two hits in the game. Caden Crofts and Caleb Cappuccio also had one hit a piece, both singles, with Cappucci’s helping to knock in a run.
The Rattlers were flawless on the field with no errors and started their weekend trip off on the right note.
The second game vs. Round Rock was cancelled due to the weather in the area. The team will begin their next game this afternoon at 2:30pm vs. Stony Point HS.
