Coach Snyder joined Reagan in 2020 as Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and moved to Assistant Boys Soccer Coach in 2021. This year he will be teaching Physics; Honors Physics and has teaching certificates in Life Science and Composite Science.

Prior to Reagan, Coach Snyder taught and coached at Hastings High School in Alief ISD. During his years there, he had a winning record for his Freshman and JV teams all 10 years.

Coach Snyder received his degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, majoring in Biology and Exercise Sports Science. He also played for the St. Mary’s Rattlers soccer team.

Coach Snyder is a proud NEISD alumnus, graduating from Roosevelt High
School.

Coach Snyder grew up with a father in the United States Air Force and that
allowed him the opportunity to travel, play soccer, and live in unique places like Japan and Germany.

Coach Snyder is married to Lindsay and they have a son, Kian.

<p style=”text-align: left”>Coach Gilbert Villarreal has been coaching boys soccer since 2002. Now in his 12th year as boys head coach at Reagan High School, Coach Villarreal has led the Rattlers to the playoffs every single year winning four District Championships, making six Regional Tournament appearances, four Regional Finals, one Regional Championship and one State Final appearance.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>In 2016, Coach Villarreal was the San Antonio Express News Coach of the Year. In 2018 he was named the State Coach of the Year for Texas High School Boys Large Schools and has been named TASCO Region IV Coach of the year on four occasions. From 2020 to 2022, he is serving as the President of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO).</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>Prior to Reagan, he also coached soccer at Southside, MacArthur, and Steele High Schools.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Austin College in Sherman, TX.  While in college, Villarreal played soccer for the ‘Roos.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>Coach Villarreal is a product of NEISD, graduating from MacArthur High School.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>He is married to wife, Laura, and has two boys, Ethan and Evan.</p>
