Coach Gloria Garcia is in her 13th year of coaching both volleyball and basketball. In 2015, she came to Reagan as Assistant Coach for both Volleyball and Basketball. Previously, Coach Garcia was at Laredo United South High School, where she was the Head Volleyball Coach and Head Basketball Coach for the 2011-2013 seasons. She also coached at Donna High School in Donna, TX.
A Harlingen native and Harlingen South graduate, Garcia went on to play basketball at Texas A&M International University in Laredo. She received her bachelor’s degree in Fitness and Sports with a minor in Mathematics, in 2006, and her Master’s Degree in Educational Administration in 2014. Currently she is completing her certification in Administration.
Coach Garcia is married to her husband, Marc, and has a daughter, Lauren, who is an NEISD student at Stone Oak Elementary, and baby, Mason. She also has two stepsons: Stevie who is at Reagan High School, and Sebastian at Bush Middle School.
Coach Griscom is beginning her twentieth year teaching and coaching. She has coached high school basketball, soccer, softball, track and volleyball. Coach Griscom earned her Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M University - College Station and her Master's Degree from Texas State University.
She is married and blessed with three children. Her oldest child graduated from Reagan H.S. and attends Trinity University. Her other two children proudly attend NEISD schools.
Coach Selena Winbush graduated from St. Michael's Academy in Austin, TX in 1998. She played on the 1997 and 1998 State Championship Basketball teams. She was a Parade and Nike All-American and was a four-time All-State athlete. Upon graduation from high school, Coach Winbush earned a full athletic scholarship to the University of Kansas to play basketball and lettered four years for the Jayhawks. She earned her degree in 2003.
Coach Winbush began her coaching career at David Crockett High School in Austin, TX from 2004-2009. She was the Head Girls Basketball Coach and Assistant Track Coach from 2006-2009. As the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Crockett, Coach Winbush turned the losing program around and led the team to its first playoff appearances in over 20 years in back to back seasons.
Winbush then came to Reagan as an assistant coach in basketball and track in the fall of 2009. She helped Coach Barton lead the Lady Rattler Basketball team to numerous wins, playoff appearances, and a trip to the state tournament in 2012. In 2016, Coach Winbush was named the Head Girls Basketball Coach.
In addition to coaching, she is a REACH (Reagan Education Achievement Community Hub) Coordinator for Reagan.
Coach Winbush is married to David and has two dogs (Sassy and Cookie). In her free time, she enjoys sewing and arts and crafts.
