Reagan junior pitcher Andres Sosa was hit twice with balls off the bat, but he shook it off to help the Rattlers beat MacArthur 4-0 in District 26-6A play Monday night.
The only thing that went wrong for Reagan in the first inning of Monday’s night game against MacArthur occurred while junior Andres Sosa was sitting in the dugout.
Reagan freshman Seth Morrow fouled a line drive from the left side of the plate into the third base dugout. The ball struck Sosa’s pitching elbow and the right-hander headed to the bullpen to shake it off and head back on the mound.
When Sosa came out for the second, he had a four-run advantage. The Rattlers preserved that lead and picked up a 4-0 win at North East ISD stadium.
