Seniors Lead the Way in Roosevelt Rout, Ready for Playoff-Seeding Tourney Game Two Tuesday

Five seniors sprinted off  to a 7-0 run to get things rolling for the Lady Rattlers in the first game of the eight-team playoff-seeding bracket Friday.  The team led start to finish, with the result a convincing 68-13.  All 15 Lady Rattlers played significant minutes, with Senior Jordan Bell leading the way off the bench with 10pts, 4reb/1stl/1blk.  Other players stuffing the stat sheet were Junior Isabella Montalvo with 8pts/3reb, Freshmen Amara Edozie and Joana Lopez with 5pts/3reb each, Sophomores Reese Stephens with 4pts/3reb and Ava Schroeder with 4pts/4reb/2stls, and Seniors Kelly Bass with 3pts/3reb and Abby Price with 2pts/2reb/4asst/2stl.

The four winning schools of the first line in the bracket have all earned a spot in the UIL playoffs in February.  The remaining games of the bracket will determine first through fourth place seeding among Reagan, Clark, Johnson and Brandeis.

Come support your Lady Rattlers as they take on Brandeis at BAC at 5:30 Tuesday, February 2nd for a chance to play for the district championship Friday February 5th.
