Reagan swimmers came out on top across the board during the NEISD 2023 “Duel in the Pool” meet at Josh Davis Natatorium & Bill Walker Pool on 26 October. Sporting pink RRHS swim caps in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, these athletes enjoyed definitive wins in head-to-head matchups against some of the area’s top rivals. The swim events included four-person relay races as well as individual swims ranging from 50 to 500 yards during the four-hour competition.
In the combined category, Reagan Swim bested both Winston Churchill and Johnson High Schools with a final score of 342 overall points compared to Churchill’s 230 points and Reagan’s 365 overall points compared to Johnson’s 195 points.
Both the men’s and women’s teams each finished first overall against Winston Churchill and Johnson High Schools’ athletes as well, each doing their part to be named the top combined scoring team:
Reagan women had two resounding wins with a score of 170 points compared to Churchill women’s 116 points and an impressive 197 points compared to Johnson women’s 77 points.
Reagan men scored 172 points compared to the Churchill men’s score of 114 total points. Against the Johnson men’s score of 118, Reagan men were also victorious with a final score of 168 points.
