Last week, RRHS Water Polo faced off against Alamo Heights on Sept. 30 in the final district tournament games of the season. Despite hard-fought efforts, the girls’ team came up short with a 6–9 loss, while the boys’ team battled to the end but fell 11–14. The girls also had a near miss of 5-9 in a tiebreaker match against Churchill on Oct. 3.
Head Aquatics Coach Michael Rourke reflected positively on the team’s performance. “It was a great last district game of the season,” he said. “While things didn’t go the way we wanted them to, we put up a great fight on both the girls’ and boys’ sides.”
Stay tuned to see how RRHS is seeded for next week’s Bi-District matches.
