Reagan’s Trey Laurence signs commitment to play Football at Baylor University

Trey Laurence signed his letter of commitment today to play football at Baylor University, an NCAA Division I program and part of the Big 12 Conference.  Laurence plans to study Business at Baylor University.

Laurence is a 3 year Varsity letterman for Reagan Football having played Linebacker as well as QB, DE and special teams.  This past season, he served as Team Captain and on the Leadership Council.  He was recognized as a 2022 THSCA Academic All State. Laurence was also selected as the NEISD Student-Athlete of the Week in October 2022.  In his 2021 season, he was honored as 28-6A Second Team All District Defense.

In addition to football, Laurence also participated in track and basketball as a freshman for Reagan High School.

In addition to athletics, Laurence is a member of the National Honor Society and will graduate Summa Cum Laude.  He is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and served as a mentor in the Peers Assistance Leadership & Service (PALS) program. Laurence also spent time in service volunteering at Independence Hill Retirement Village, the San Antonio Food Bank and as a Peer Tutor for ALE students assisting with Special Olympics basketball and track.  Outside of Reagan,  Laurence served as President of the Young Men’s Service League is an active member of Community Bible Church.

Laurence will follow the footsteps of his father who was a 4-year Football Letterman at Baylor, and his grandfather, a 4-year football and baseball letterman, who is in the Baylor Athletic Hall of Fame.
