Reagan Varsity Boys Take First At the Black-N-Blue Invitational

The Rattlers traveled to Schertz on Saturday and brought home First Place out of 22 Teams at the Annual Black-N-Blue Invitational.  Reagan’s wrestlers collectively scored 145.5 points – 4 points above 2nd place.

SENIOR MAVERICK WHITETHORN (145#) went 3-0 for the day, taking 1st place and scoring 25.5 team points, impressively winning two by Pin and one by Tech Fall.
JUNIOR SAWYER PEEVY (220#) went 3-0 for the day, taking 1st place and scoring 25 team points, scoring with two fantastic Pins and one Major Decision.
SOPHOMORE BRYCE WHITETHORN (120#) went 2-1 for the day, taking 2nd place and scoring 19 team points.
JUNIOR NATHAN CRAWFORD (195#) went 4-1 for the day, taking 3rd place and scoring an amazing 20 points with his three pins.
SOPHOMORE CONNOR O’BRIEN (113#) went 3-1 for the day, taking 3rd place and scoring 13 team points.
JUNIOR NATHAN ALMAGUER (152#) went 2-2 for the day, taking 4th place and scoring 11 team points.
FRESHMAN MAX PECHMAN (106#) 
went 1-2 for the day, taking 4th place and scoring 9 team points.

The Varsity Girls placed 15th out of 20 teams scoring a collective 21 Team Points.

This is a big week for Rattler Wrestling as we host a Tri-Meet vs. Steele and MacArthur on Wednesday, January 26 at 5:00pm, where we will honor our Seniors.  Junior Varsity takes the mat Friday, January 28 at 3:00pm at Johnson High School for the JV District Meet, where they hope to bring home the Championship for the FOURTH time in a row.  Let’s GOOOOOOO!!!!!!
