Reagan Tennis Falls to Lake Travis at Regionals

November 1, 2017

October 24, 2017 – Reagan varsity tennis fell to Lake Travis High School in the quarter-finals of Regionals 10-0.  The loss ended a good run for coach David Daniel and his young Rattler squad in playoffs and ends the team season.  In doubles play, the #1 boys doubles team of Eber Rodriguez and Diego Hayen put up a good fight losing 7-6, 6-3.  At #2 girls singles, Bailey Godwin mounted a comeback after being down 0-6, 0-2 and was leading Anuska Dania 0-6, 6-4, 7-1 before the match was called due to Lake Travis sealing the victory.  Coach Daniel only loses 2 seniors from the boys singles as well as 1 girl so the future looks extremely bright.  Next up for Reagan will be the spring individual season where coach Daniel hopes to send his players to the State Tournament.
