Reagan Tennis Downs O’Connor in 2nd Round of Playoffs

October 19, 2017 – Reagan varsity tennis downs O’Connor High School 10-1 in the 2nd round of playoffs.  Doubles has proven to be the strength to this team and today was no different.  Seniors Jessica Hamdan, Nishika Peeris, Diego Hayen and Eber Rodriguez helped Reagan jump to a 6-1 lead.  Diego and Eber played #1 boys doubles and won 6-2, 6-1 and Jessica and Nishika played #3 girls doubles and won 6-0, 6-0.

In singles play, the Rattler girls proved too much for O’Connor as Orren Shachaf, Ruchi Sehgal, Apeksha Peeris and Kyndall Quiroz won their matches to secure the 10-1 victory for Reagan.  Senior Jessica Hamdan was up 6-1, 5-1 when the match was decided and did not get to finish her match.

UP NEXT

Reagan now advances to the Regional quarter-finals against Lake Travis High School.  The match will be played on Tuesday, October 24 at 2:30pm at Lake Travis High School in Austin, TX.
