The Reagan tennis team downed rival Johnson High School 10-1. The match pitted 2 of the top teams in the district against each other in a much needed win. Reagan is seeking their 8th straight district title and Johnson High School was a top 3 team in the district. Kyle Totorica/Deuce Daniel gave Reagan their first win taking #1 boys doubles 6-1, 6-2. Jon Totorica/Joseph Snyman came back to win #2 boys doubles 3-6, 6-2, 10-5. In girls doubles Emily Higgs/Alissa Ortiz won #1 doubles 2-6, 7-5, 10-8. In mixed doubles, Matthew Kim/Paulina Razo had a tough match against Johnson High School’s #1 boy and girl losing a tough one 6-4, 6-2. At the end of doubles Reagan led 6-1. Going into singles, Reagan needed 4 more wins to take the team match. Reagan received those wins from Kyle Totorica, Jon Totorica, Deuce Daniel and Kara Greenlee.
Next up for Reagan tennis is Madison High School on Monday, September 21. The match will be played at 4:30pm at Blossom Tennis Center.
