Reagan Tennis Downs Eagle Pass in Season Opener

August 15, 2018 – Reagan tennis got off to a good start downing Eagle Pass 15-3 in their season opener.  At boys #1 singles, freshman Kyle Totorica started his high school career with a great start winning doubles 6-0, 6-1 and also won his singles match 6-3, 6-1. This summer Kyle won the Texas Slam which is the largest tournament in America and is currently ranked #3 in the state in his age group.  Also getting wins were last years State Qualifiers, Kyndall Quiroz and Bailey Godwin.  Kyndall and Bailey played #1 doubles and won 6-1, 6-0.  Kyndall won at #1 singles 6-0, 6-0 sealing the victory for Reagan at 10 wins.  Fernando Andrade won at #2 boys singles 6-2, 6-1 and Bailey Godwin won 8-2 at #2 girls singles.  In the tightest match of the day, Isabela Ortega and Ruchi Seghal won at #2 girls doubles 7-6, 7-6.

Reagan will play at Annemarie Tennis Center Friday at 8am and 1pm in the Northside I.S.D. Invitational in their first tournament of the year.
