The Reagan Softball team opened the 2025 District 28 season with a crushing 25-0 win over the Roosevelt Rough Riders on Tuesday night. The Rattlers amassed 10 hits, 16 RBIs, and for the second game in a row, anchored by fierce pitching and stingy defense, served up “no-hitters” on back-to-back outings. Ally Reyes (So.) dominated the circle again, ringing up 6 strikeouts in just 4 innings due to run rule. Ally is coming off a weekend “no-hitter” vs Medina Valley and selected as the San Antonio Express News Player of the week!
Despite the dusty and hazy weather, the Rattler offense dominated, scoring 13 runs in the top of the first inning to take the lead and kept rolling. Super Seniors Avery Allen and Macie Thiel along with Mina Galvan (So.) led the offensive attack with two hits apiece. Macie led the charge with 4 RBIs while Mina Galvan and Presley Noriega added 3 RBIs each.
The Rattlers head back to the diamond this Saturday, March 8, at the Northeast Softball Complex. They will square off against perennial District champs, Madison Mavericks, at High Noon.
Strike ’em, Rattlers!
