Reagan Softball Loses Tough One to Lee

April 6, 2023

After battling back in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at six runs a piece, the Rattlers lost to Lee 6-10 in Tuesday’s night district action.  The Volunteers loaded the bases in the top of the seventh inning and brought four runs in on a perfectly placed blooper over first base that bounced to the foul ball fence after a diving attempt by second baseman Alyssa Burnett came up empty.  Unfortunately, the Rattlers were unable to respond in the bottom half of the inning.

Sadie Eckles led the way for the Rattlers’ offense going 3-4 at the plate with two doubles and a single, collecting 3 RBI.  Shreya Fifadara added two singles.  A’mari McMath, Macie Thiel, and Julie Magi each had one hit a piece.

The team will head back to the diamonds on Thursday at 4:30 (weather permitting) to take on district leader Madison.
