February 4, 2023 – The Reagan Aquatics team competed this weekend in the newly realigned and highly contested Region VII-6A Championship meet. The Reagan Women Swimmers placed 3rd in our fast region, a mere 8.5 points behind the second place team. In combined team scores, Reagan placed 5th overall out of 25 teams.
The top 2 finishers in each swimming event and top 3 for diving advance to UIL State Class 6A Swimming and Diving Championships on February 17-18, 2023 at the University of Texas in Austin. Reagan will send the team record breaking Women’s 200 Medley Relay of Bishop, Olsen, Spielmann and Christiansen to State. In individual events, Caroline Holcomb placed second and advances for diving. Monserrat Spielmann qualified in the 200 free and also in the 100 fly with a another team record breaking swim.
