On Friday, September 19th, Reagan High School secured another impressive victory with a 10–2 win over Clark High School. Unlike previous sweeps, this match tested the team’s grit, as two hard-fought losses highlighted just how competitive Clark proved to be.
The boys doubles set the tone early with dominant wins across all lines, with some players quickly turning around to compete again in singles. Pablo Alvarez and Ryan Totorica took control after a tight first set, closing out their match with a commanding 6–0 second set.
On the girls doubles side, the matches were longer and more intense. Line 2, played by Iris Wang and Estefania Scanlon, secured a confident win, while Line 3 followed suit with another strong finish. At the same time, both Line 1 girls—Naya Chreitah and Heidi Wilkinson—and the mixed doubles team of Hallie Crofts and David Lopez battled through nail-biting super tiebreakers. With the entire Reagan team chanting and cheering from the sidelines, both matches came down to just two points, but ultimately slipped away.
Despite the narrow losses, the team walked away proud of their effort and grateful for the leadership of their coaches, whose dedication and trust continue to drive the players forward.
Next week we play against Brandies High school in Northside
