The Rattlers took their first district loss 3-2 against the Chargers bringing their record to 5-1 in district play. The game flew by as the pitching was effective on both sides. The longest inning was the 3rd which allowed 12 at-bats, and the 4th and 6th innings saw 3-up, 3-down on both sides. Darden Wetherell took the loss for Reagan. Wetherell faced 25 batters in 6 innings and had 18 recorded outs. He struck out 4, walked 0, and allowed 5 hits and 3 runs (2 earned).
Reagan got on the board in the top of the 3rd inning with an RBI single to right field from Jeter Battles that scored Caleb Crider. The Rattlers tried to get something going in the top of the 5th with singles by Crider and Caden Roy. Ultimately, they were only able to score 1 more run. Keegan Baldwin scored from second base on another RBI single to right field from Battles. Karsten Holman was the only other Rattler with a hit in the game. Battles went 2 for 2 at the plate and also drew 2 walks. Baldwin and Battles recorded 1 stolen base each.
