On a humid Texas day, staying hydrated and battling muscle cramps was almost as tough as the matches themselves. But once again, the Reagan Rattlers brought their determination and came out on top with an impressive 14-2 victory over Johnson High School.
The day began with doubles play—three lines of boys, three lines of girls, and one mixed. Reagan set the tone with a commanding 6-1 result. The only loss came in a fiercely competitive match where nearly every game went to deuce, showing just how close the battle was.
Momentum carried into the singles matches, where the boys’ side especially shined. Pablo Alvarez secured the first singles win, followed by strong victories from Ryan Totorica, Jairo Kirk, and Nathan Washington. One of the most inspiring moments came when teammates rallied around Vikas Vijay, who fought through cramping muscles in his second set. With the full support of his team behind him, he pushed through and earned an incredible win.
This match wasn’t just about skill on the courts—it was about heart. Our players showed what it means to have the true Reagan spirit: talent, resilience, and unwavering support for one another.
