On Saturday the Boys and Girls varsity wrestling teams competed at the LEE Invitational. The boys had individual placers in almost all weight classes. Seniors Ben Taylor (120), Bryce Whitethorn(126), and Connor O’Brien(132) were joined by Junior Grant Schneiders (144) in all securing 1st place wins. Juniors Luke Hall(165) and Sebastian Rangel (190) were joined by Sophomore Caedmon Garcia (285) in securing 2nd place finishes. Senior Noah Hyslop (175) and Junior Max Pechmann (113) both won their 3rd place matches while Junior Ben Brown (138) secured 4th place. Juniors Connor Vigil (215) and Aaron Arreola (157) both secured 6th place.
The girls were again led by Sophomore Shobhana Spielmann (107) who continues dominating and won 1st place. She was joined on podium by Freshman Daniella Garcia (114), and Sophomores Yari Pelllicer-Cruz (132), and Mekyela Garcia (152) all with 3rd place finishes.
The Varsity will be active with a Tri dual vs San Marcos and Roosevelt at Reagan on Thursday at 4:30 pm. See ya on the mat.
