In the biggest game of the year to date, the Reagan Rattlers were victorious over their arch town rival the Johnson Jaguars 6-5 in 9 innings when a ball hit by Caden Roy was dropped in centerfield.
Ryland Rangel had a great evening going 2 for 2 at the plate (1 double and 1 single, 1 run and 2 RBI) and pitching three scoreless innings allowing 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk with 2 strikeouts to secure the win.
Aidan Coleman (1 single, 1 homerun and 1 RBI); Brennan Greer (1 single, 1 double and 1 RBI) and Caden Crofts (2 singles) had multiple hits in the game. Luke Sasser (1 single), Andrew Ermis (1 double) and Caleb Cappuccio (1 single and 1 RBI) also had hits on the night.
Coleman started on the mound, pitching 6 innings while allowing 6 hits, 5 runs/4 earned with 5 walks and 2 strikeouts.
The win allows the Rattlers to tie the Jaguars with 1 loss within district. Their next game will take place today at 4:30pm at the Sports Park.
