Wednesday, April 16 – Kaleb Rogers drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Rattlers past Clark 8-6 on Wednesday at Northside park. Rogers singled in the second inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the third inning, scoring two.
The Rattlers didn’t take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at six in the top of the seventh when Tony Gilbreath singled, scoring two runs.
The Rattlers got on the board in the second inning after Rogers singled, scoring two runs.
Clark flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 5-2.
Caleb Crider doubled down the left field line, which helped the Rattlers tie the game at five in the top of the sixth.
Clark took the lead in the bottom of the sixth scoring 1 run.
The Rattlers took the lead, 8-6, in the top of the seventh thanks to singles by Dylan Gonzales, and Gilbreath.
Starting pitcher, Darden Wetherell, surrendered eight hits and six runs (three earned) over six innings, striking out three and walking two. Zach Hopkins collected the save.
The Rattlers collected 12 hits in the game. Gilbreath, Rogers, Wetherell, and Bodie Weyman each got two of those hits. The Rattler defense turned one double play in the game.
The Rattlers welcome Clark on Thursday, April 17th for their next game at Northeast Sports Park at 7:15 p.m.
