Two games into the second round of district match ups, the varsity boys basketball team continues to blow past their opponents. Victories over LEE (65-53) and MacArthur (69-45) last week move the team to 10-0.
Aggressive defense and solid offensive performances have allowed Reagan to rise above the competition, but what makes them stand out is the teamwork. They have exhibited an unselfish style of play all season.
In an Express News interview after the win over LEE, Coach Hirst commented, “We’ve got a really fun team this year cause nobody’s really interested in who the high-point man is every game.”
Up next for the Rattlers is a trip to Madison HS on Wednesday evening to face off with the Mavericks. Tip off is at 7:30 pm.
