Wednesday, April 22, 2026 – The Reagan Rattlers showcased their depth and offensive firepower in an 11–5 victory over Brandeis on Wednesday at Northside Ball Park.
A major key to the win came from the bottom of the lineup, where Dylan Sabariego, Jayden Gomez, and Ollie Wetherell sparked the offense. The trio combined for six hits, three runs scored, and six RBIs, providing a steady surge that kept the Rattlers in control.
Reagan broke the game open with a seven-run third inning, capitalizing on disciplined at-bats and timely hitting. The Rattlers drew walks, delivered key extra-base hits, and consistently put pressure on the defense to build a commanding lead.
They had already gotten on the board in the second inning when Wetherell drove in a run, setting the stage for the offensive outburst that followed.
On the mound, Zach Hopkins earned the win, working 4⅓ innings while striking out four. Sebastian Sipe came in to provide relief and help close out the game.
The Rattlers racked up 12 hits in a balanced team effort. Sabariego, Brody Beck, Will Van Wisse, Gomez, and Wetherell each recorded multiple hits, while Chapman and Wetherell led the way with three RBIs apiece. Beck also showed patience at the plate, drawing two walks as part of a seven-walk performance by the team.
With contributions throughout the lineup and consistent execution, the Rattlers delivered a complete performance in a strong win over Brandeis. They’ll look to carry that momentum into their final district matchup against Brandeis tonight at 7:15 p.m. at Northeast Sports Park.
