The Rattlers finished up their regular season play by beating the Calallen Wildcats 6-3 on Saturday afternoon at the Sportsplex.
Aidan Coleman and Caleb Cappuccio lead the team at the plate with multiple hits. Coleman had (1 double, 1 single and 1 run) and Cappuccio added (2 singles). Ashton Beaird (1 single), Luke Sasser (1 single, 2 runs and 2 stolen bases) Brennan Greer (1 single, 1 run and 2 RBI), Jeter Battles (1 double, 1 stolen base and 2 RBI) and Caden Crofts (1 single and 1 RBI) added additional hits on the day.
Ryland Rangel started on the mound and went 2 innings allowing 5 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Kaleb Rogers came in for the third and fourth inning and allowed no hits or runs while striking out 1 and secured the win. Kyle Hoggatt pitched the 5th inning allowing no hits or runs while striking out 1 and Jackson Crider finished the last two innings allowing 2 hits, 1 run, 1 earned, 3 walks and striking out 1.
The Rattlers will be back in action for the start of the Region IV playoffs this week. The Rattlers will play East Central at 7:30p at Tejeda Sports Complex (near Harlandale Memorial Stadium).
