With the Wrestling season behind us, it’s time to celebrate all the team’s accomplishments this season!
STATE
- Brandon Huerta, Senior, weight class 152, took 5th in the State (pictured) by defeating Brandon Thomas, from Conroe The Woodlands, College Park. Brandon previously won the Regional and District championships. He ended the season with an amazing 43-2 record!
- Addison Garcia, Sophomore, weight class 95, lost in round one to Mia Diaz from Amarillo Tascosa. This season, Addison took 1st at Regionals and 2nd at Districts. She ended the season with a 28-10 record. Based on this year’s results, Addison is now ranked 9th in Texas.
- Joe Huerta, Sophomore, weight class 120, lost in round one to Isaiah Calderon, from Cypress Falls. Joe also placed 4th at Regionals and ended the season with an overall 9-8 record. Based on his performance this year, he is now ranked 16th in Texas.
- Amir Mussali, Sophomore, weight class 138, lost in round one to Eric Westbrook from Killeen. Previously, Amir placed 2nd at Regionals and was the District champion. He ended his season with a 19-4 record. Based on this year’s results, Amir is now ranked 13th in Texas.
- Zarek Hernandez, Sophomore, weight class 106, was a State alternate, having placed 5th at the Regional tournament, however, did not wrestle at State. In Districts, he placed 2nd and finished the season with an overall 21-6 record. Based on this year’s results, he is now ranked 18th in Texas.

REGIONALS
