ROCKPORT, TX- The Reagan Boys & Girls Varsity Golf team traveled to the Texas coast on Monday, October 9th, a school holiday, to help with the cleanup from Hurricane Harvey. The team, led by Head Coach Brent McCuiston and Asst. Coach Bailey Furgeson, hooked up with Church Unlimited, whose facilities are partially destroyed and operating in a colossal mess.
The boys and girls left Reagan HS at 6:00 a.m. for a quiet ride south but, upon arrival, everyone got to work doing whatever was asked of them or not asked of them. It was a total team effort by all involved as grass was mowed, rooms were cleared of debris, and empty curbsides were loaded with trash to be carted away. The church looks forward to welcoming their worshipers to a clean, if not rebuilt, facility this upcoming weekend.
