The Rattlers took the field Friday evening and claimed a victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders 13-1.
The team posted 14 hits on the game led by Andrew Ermis with a homerun to leftfield and a single, Brennan Greer who had a triple and a double, Caleb Roy who had a triple and single and Ryland Rangel who had a double and a single on the evening. Ermis knocked in three runs, while Greer and Rangel added two rbi and Roy added one.
Other players with hits included: Ashton Beaird (1 single), Jordon Buske (1 double and 1 rbi) Caden Crofts (1 single), Luke Sasser (1 double), Aidan Coleman (1 double) and Caleb Cappuccio (1 single).
The team was led on the mound by Kaleb Rogers who tossed 3 impressive innings, allowing 3 hits and just 1 run while striking out 7 with no walks. Rogers strong performance allowed him to get the win, his third victory on the season.
Three other pitchers pitched one inning each, including Kyle Hoggatt (1 inning and 2 strikeouts), Cody Pictrowski (1 inning and 1 strikeout) and Jackson Crider (1 inning and 2 strikeouts).
The team will complete their first round of district play Tonight when they face the Brandeis Broncos at 7:15pm at the Sports Park.
