Caleb Crider came to the mound with his best stuff on Saturday against the Bridgeland Bears. Pitching a complete game, the hurler was highly efficient, pitching 6 innings, surrendering 1 run on 3 hits, striking out 4 and walking 1. The Bears’ pitchers were effective in keeping the Rattlers scoreless while also only walking 1 batter.
The Reagan defense turned 2 double plays in the game. Jeter Battles turned the first double play to Elias Leon in the bottom of the 1st, getting outs at 2nd base and 1st base. Caleb Cappuccio turned the other DP with an amazing shoestring catch in center field for the out and catching the baserunner off guard at 2nd for the other out in the bottom of the 5th.
Despite having more hits than the Bears, the Rattlers could not get across the plate. Battles, Cappuccio, Isaiah Robledo, Darden Wetherell, and Javi Cuevas each recorded 1 hit in the loss.
