November 8, 2017 – As part of National Signing Day, Lydia Niebla made her commitment official to play volleyball for the University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA).
Niebla is a 4 year Varsity letterman for Reagan Volleyball. As the team’s Libero, she has led the team in digs for the last 2 seasons. Among her accomplishments this year, she was named to the All Tournament Team at the Adidas Pearland Classic Tournament and New Braunfels Fraulien Volleyfest, received the Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention, unanimous 1st Team All District and is NEISD’s Defensive Player of the Year! Last year, Niebla was Academic All District, unanimous 1st Team All District, and Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) 1st Team All State.
We look forward to watching her continue her successful career as a UTSA Road Runner!
