The Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams have had their seasons halted by the NEISD Athletic Department due to an uptick in COVID cases across the District. They have determined that a pause in practice and play is warranted at both the middle and high-school levels.
Neither of the Rattler teams, through today, have had to forfeit or postpone games due to internal COVID issues,
District contests against Madison, Clark, Brandeis and Johnson, all scheduled between December 18th and January 2nd have been postponed until later in the year.
The District has informed member schools that they hope to restart the season as soon as January 4th when classes resume for the spring semester.
